Spread is for work that should speak through its pictures. Every project is a series of photographs with its credits, like a spread in a photo book. The studio, clients and projects in the demo are invented; replace them with your own.
Every series is a Markdown file: the story, year, services and credits. The sheet, column and one-by-one views come from the same files.
All interface text sits in one file per language, 46 of them in the box. The sample photographs are for the demo and for your layout until your own are ready; the licence says how.
What’s inside
- First screen with the studio name set large: a wide plate, a contact strip, a full-screen cover, an open spread or a book that opens as you scroll (one setting)
- Home page is a contact sheet of all your series; a click opens a series in place with its credits
- Three views of the same work, switched by the visitor: sheet, column and one by one
- A page for every series, for search engines and sharing
- 25 sample photographs in five series are included; frames you have not shot yet show as plates of the right size
- Photos served as AVIF in several sizes, the first one preloaded
- 46 languages out of the box, including Arabic, Hebrew and Persian with a mirrored layout
- Language switcher, hreflang, sitemap, social preview images for every page in every language, structured data (JSON-LD), RSS feeds
- Setup wizard (npm run setup), cookie-free analytics, contact form recipes
- Light by default, dark mode in the same tokens
- Works with JavaScript turned off and from the keyboard
- Lighthouse mobile 100 / 100 / 100 / 100 on the English home page, measured on localhost
